New Year’s Resolutions

Every new year you hear people making a list of their new years resolutions. It may be going to the gym, or eating healthy, or maybe saving up money, or doing good at work to get promoted.  To be honest, I haven’t done any New Years resolutions for my self ever. This is for the sole reason than I’m not going to follow it anyway. But if you want something to be changed in your life you have to do something. By the definition of the word “Resolution” - It’s a firm decision to do or not to do something.  I just wanted to share to you the resolutions I made for this year.  1. To keep on chasing my passion - I always knew that I am passionate about teaching. I always thought that teaching can only be done in schools, but I can also apply my passion in teaching with my colleagues at work or my friends or by blogging.  2. Exercising - this is probably one of the most difficult thing to do. I need to spend 30 minutes to and hour of walking in the first qua...

Failure is Good

My Blog entry today might raised some eyebrows or might arise some disagreements to some of my dear readers (as if I have hahaha). Because I have to convince you that failure is good.  We always hear from people that “failure is NOT an option” and our minds are programmed to avoid failures.  Why are we scared to fail? Danger ahead - our brain is designed to react to “danger” how? By feeling scared. I myself is scared of travelling by boat, because what if the boat will sink? I am not a good swimmer. We feel the danger if our lives are at stake, ofcourse who wants to get hurt? Or die? Sometimes the fear or failure can equate to our feeling of “danger”. We feel don’t feel right when failure is coming hence, we do necessary things to avoid it. Most of the time we stay on the “safe side” just to avoid it....

2017 has been a tough year, but it was heck of an advenuture. I am writing this entry on the 1st day of 2018 and currently enjoying the cold December breeze reminding me that you just survived a tough 365 days of 2017, and this year, this is a time for you to get up my mat and walk! Fail repeatedly - I can still remember the first time I learned how to bike. I fell several times, had bruises and wounds before I had my first 5 pedals balancing on my own. Although the experience was darn painful, I learned how to ride a bike. 2017 I experienced failures (like what I shared in my other post), before i used to deny it and blame it to someone else, but that attitude would only give me another failure. Not realizing my own mistakes would just give me more misery and will not get me out of my suffering. Failing repeatedly means you should face your mistakes and make solutions to correct it. If you fail on your first attempt, try again, if it doesn’t work, then try and look for altern...
